Next summer Welsh singer and facilitator Richard Parry will be leading a band of Coleridge enthusiasts–including artists, musicians, poets, actors, storytellers, politicians, and many others–on a tour of Wales, retracing the route Coleridge himself followed on his Welsh walking tours during the late eighteenth century. This “travelling band” will “perform, engage with the public, attend festival events, bring with them exhibitions … and meet with local communities” along the way to celebrate the great Romantic poet’s life, work, and ethos. The event is scheduled to take place over the course of several months, beginning in May and running until August 2016. It sounds wonderfully ambitious and adventurous. Check out the Coleridge in Wales Festival 2016 website at http://coleridgeinwales.org/.
