Spring Forecast April 22nd, 2015

Life has been busy since the end of the UNBC Faculty Association strike last month. As final exams begin, I’m organizing my spring and summer travel, which will see me head to Whitehorse, Yukon, in early May, followed by a trip to Ontario, where I’ll attend the John Buchan Society dinner in Toronto, do some research work at York University and McMaster University, and then head to Ottawa for the Humanities and Social Sciences Federation Congress. In June I’ll be flying to Moscow, Idaho, where the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment will be holding its biennial conference. July will see me at home again, where I hope to get lots of writing done before heading to Winnipeg for the annual meeting of the North American Society for the Study of Romanticism in August. In the midst of all this activity I hope to record a rough demo of the 16 songs I’ve written since the release of Shadows in the Light as a stepping stone towards the making of a new album some time early next year.
