In May I will be travelling to Jena, Germany, to visit colleagues at Friedrich Schiller University. During my two-week visit, I will present an invited talk on Romantic literature, read and study in some local archives, meet and converse with students and faculty members, and work on the revisions to my forthcoming book. I have also accepted an invitation to perform an unplugged acoustic concert on Sunday, May 19th, at the Schiller Gartenhaus. For three days prior to my arrival in Jena, I will also have a chance to hang out in Frankfurt with my musical friend Mike Bohrmann, with whom I am currently collaborating on an album of original songs. This will be my first-ever visit to Germany. Needless to say, I’m very much looking forward to it.
