On Friday I’ll be visiting Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, to give a series of talks for the university’s Center for Transatlantic Studies. During the day I’ll share my enthusiasm for William Blake with an undergraduate class, lead a graduate seminar on the British travel writer Anna Jameson, and present a talk to the faculty on my latest research in Transatlantic Studies. This will be my first-ever visit to Texas, so I’m particularly excited. I look forward to meeting and conversing with students and faculty members, and to experiencing some good old-fashioned Texas hospitality, before returning to northern British Columbia on Saturday. I’m grateful to Professor Michael Demson for inviting me to SHSU and for organizing my visit.
