August Update August 24th, 2010

In early August we were back at The Drive Shed in Toronto for a final day of mixing for my new CD, Light to Shine.  Soon we’ll be calling on George Seara at Seara Sound to master the album, after which the project will move to Accudub Inc., where the talented Richard Boudreau will design the CD package using Scott Dickson’s recently finished artwork (a stunning oil painting) and Maja Swannie Jacob’s new photography.  With any luck, the CD will be ready before I head off to Edinburgh in October.  Last week Gary Breit (who plays fabulous piano and organ on my new CD) was in town on Bryan Adams’ “Bare Bones” tour, and he gave me two free tickets and passes for the show.  It was fun to watch Gary in his element, rocking out in front of a full house at CN Place with one of Canada’s greatest rock stars.  There’ll be more music to enjoy later this week, when Matt Blackie and his band arrive in Prince George for a Thursday night gig at Art Space.  Matt and the band will be flopping at my place for two nights, which should be fun.
