My new CD, entitled “On the Bridge You were Burning,” is making good progress towards completion. Sahra Featherstone and Jason Fowler, the project’s producers, have finished editing the various tracks and are currently recording harmony vocals and some lead instrumental tracks. Jason has extended an invitation to Hugh Marsh, my favourite violinist, to play on two of the songs, including my rendition of Lord Byron’s poem “Stanzas for Music.”  My fingers are crossed that Mr Marsh–who has played with the likes of Bruce Cockburn and Loreena McKennitt–will be able to accept the offer! Currently I am working with painter and graphic artist Scott Dickson to come up with some striking artwork for the new CD’s cover, and I am planning to do a photo shoot in the next week or two with Prince George photographer Maja Swannie in order to obtain some good photos for the CD’s back cover or inside panels. When the project is completed I will be revamping this website to include not only my musical projects but my writing projects as well (including the two new books I will be publishing in 2009).
