« “Reading Animals” in Sheffield, UK NASSR 2015 and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights »

From Sheffield to London, UK July 23rd, 2014

I’m still basking in the warm glow of the ”Reading Animals” conference at the University of Sheffield, where I gave the second of six keynote talks — and where I joined the advisory board for Palgrave Macmillan’s newly launching book series on “Animals and Literature” (to be edited by Susan McHugh, Bob McKay, and John Miller).  I’m now enjoying a few days of research at the British Library, a busy but peaceful sanctuary in the midst of crowded London.  Tomorrow I’ll be flying home to British Columbia, where I’ll start to work writing the last chapters for “Literature, Ecology, Indigenous Rights,” which I hope to finish soon.  But first, a holiday…
